Sooooo, I've gotten hooked on Doctor Who, and my recent marathoning of it is to blame for my recent absences. But... but... he's so inspiring for me! Ageless non-human character with an affinity for humans who goes around saving everyone from monsters, is known only by a title and not a name, and OMG NEEDS HUGS.

So, here's me as the Ninth Doctor. Cuz 40 year-olds can still be totally hot, ya know? Will probably draw myself as Ten later. Haven't gotten to Eleven yet, and I'm not sure how I'd look in a fez and no eyebrows.

So, I checked my stats and saw, damn, I've had three times as many pageviews this month than a normal month. What gives? Then I noticed that 3/4 of the pageviews were for the oekaki registration page. I come over and check, and there are 3,000 spam accounts waiting to be verified. I delete them, and I get 14 more in the next ten minutes. I saw they were all coming from the same domain, so I blocked it.

... Unfortunately, that "same domain" turned out to be "all webhosts in Asia", and I accidentally blocked Niani (I'm sorry!). So, I've given myself a crash-course in PHP and stuck a better captcha on the registration page. Haven't had any trouble with it so far, but please let me know if you have any trouble. My PHP-fu is weak.

Thank you for the picture, it looks really great! With as long as he lived, I'm sure he had a lot to write about. I try to update about once a month, but I keep busy with my job and trying to rest in my off time. I don't know how much of the story you're able to read, and I'm sure my invented Japanese terms are mangled, but at least there's plenty of pictures.

I used to be on this board alll the time as mzmocha or mzmocha 36 or whatever. Just finished my first college finals and have some spare time and nostalgic memories of this board =) I just got my best friend here to start watching InuYasha too haha

I think It's great for the first time I've EVER drawn something on a computer.

Not done, obvs. I've been working on some cosplay automail for a few days, so I wanted to try drawing it from memory, and automail is no fun unless it's attached to somebody.

How did Ed manage to get so big by the end of the series? The whole joke was that he was tiny!

Yeah, I remember them saying something about how he had a connection to Al's body in the other world and was supporting both, which was taking a toll on him. But... that still doesn't explain how he ended up taller than Winry by the end even before Al came back.

Because puberty. :p He WAS only 15 when the series started, and Hoho-papa was a pretty broad-shouldered dude. My own brother was this scrawny kid at 15, and when I came back from school that summer the kid had shot up like a weed and suddenly become DBZ-muscular.

I was actually worried somebody would be like "wut he wasn't that big before the end of the series" except that in some screenshots he's like "o_o..."

But if he hit puberty, why did he still sound so womanly?

I do have to wonder what is the obsession with having Shounen heroes voiced by women. Inuyasha and Ichigo are the only big ones who aren't. Naruto, Luffy, Ed, hell, even Goku and all his kids at every age were women. Do actual Japanese teenage boys actually sound like that?

The same reason Al still had a kid's voice at 16. :p

I...do not recall. D: Perhaps some do. I know at least girls seem to sound like...an octave higher speaking Japanese so maybe it applies to boys too (and this is an observation I've seen first-hand; the same girls speak an octave higher in Japanese than they do in English)? It's also hard for me to reconcile the stated ages of ANYone in Inu-Yasha with their appearances/voices so I never really thought of that. >>;
