Keep your eye on the goal, Mini-me. Someday, this is what you will become.

:D Lookin' good! I especially like the shading on Adult!Papa's kimono and hair. One suggestion, though; for smoother surfaces like little!Papa's jacket, you might want to increase the brush size while shading. The little brush here gave the hair, fur, and armor great texture, though!

Your pictures always look so nice and sketchy but with good coloring and shading to make them look more complete. I keep trying to watch the animation to see what you do, but the layering always records funny so it's hard to see.

I actually tend to do pretty much everything with the round watercolor tool. Generally I do a really detailed sketch in blue with that tool, and then I tend to go over that on a top layer in black with the same tool; although sometimes I'll use the pen for linearts -- here for example out of laziness, but for "Drive" I used it to achieve more GAR. Either way, I pretty much never use the pencil tool. I don't like the hard line or the dithering you get with the pencil.

Usually I throw down the base color in pen, starting with the background so I can adjust my palette to it. Then I use the round watercolor again for my shading. Usually I try to pick a much darker main shadow color and block that out cell-shade-style first, before blending with shades in between. :D Hope that helps!

...also I just realized I forgot to shade Tanetenma's haori. >>; Oops.

Man, sorry I'm always drawing dark-ish stuff on here. >>; I've just been feeling frustrated and needed an injection of pure stubborn determination.

Yet another Little!Yasha. I should really probably stop taking my bad moods out on this little guy.

As far as the technical aspects go, whadda you guys think?
Inu-papa @ Monday, August 3rd 2009, 9:31 AM
D'awwww, he needs a hug.

As for technical aspects, you're definitely a lot better at coloring and shading than I am. Heck, you even put backgrounds on your pictures. I'm just too lazy. ^_^*

Hahaaaa....I probably shouldn't draw stuff from my own prequel stuff here but OH WELL. (This is why Izayoi is dressed like this. She and Inu-Yasha are, for certain reasons, on the lam so to speak.) I had just realized I hadn't drawn a colored version of that outfit, and decided to oekaki. Hope nobody's too annoyed by it.

Also internets cookies if anybody gets the series-related visual pun going on with the basket.
Inu-papa @ Tuesday, July 7th 2009, 9:25 PM
Nah, you're allowed to draw whatever you like here. :P

Haha, I came on here just to doodle...but I guess so much for that.

Seems like I draw little!Yasha way more often than I draw his adult self these days.
